Question #2 Personal Style

Alright, since I am trying this new format, I might as well just put it out there that it will be a miracle if I actually blog during the weekend.  Wow, all weekend I had a bunch of cool and fascinating questions floating around in my head, now I am drawing a blank.  I'll go to one of my favorite random questions.  I like this question because it makes you think a little about yourself and I can see some funny answers!!

How would you describe your personal style??

I would describe my style as grandma chic.  And really, if you know me, it's perfect.  I love cardigans.  Actually, I am obsessed with cardigans.  I can honestly say that it is a rare occasion that I am not wearing a cardigan.  I love layering.  My mom always thinks it's hilarious to call me a little Italian grandma.  It could be 100 degrees outside and I will still have TWO shirts on (you can guess when it's -5 degrees I have a TON of layers on!)  I have almost cat eye glasses that kind of make me look like an old school librarian.  And I LOVE my glasses!  I always wear comfortable shoes like Birkenstocks and Uggs.  I have a tendency to mis-match my colors in a very Maggie way.  It's weird, but for some reason, it works.  Lately, my new favorite items in my closet are my sheer shirts.  Now when you hear "sheer shirts", you are probably envisioning something sexy.  Surprisingly, they are not really sexy at all, I am assuming....I don't have men beating down my door wear I wear them....so....  I seriously think I have a sheer shirt to wear every day for two weeks. I love them.  When you are overweight and looking for something flattering, I think these shirts are great, they are flowy and draw your eyes to a woman's bust (one of my better features) and not their middle!  Hahaha!  I do draw the line at polyester pants.  So, overall, "grandma chic" is putting a slightly younger, hipper twist on grandma clothes.  Alright, if there are any readers out there...

Here I am in my signature glasses, cardigan, and sheer shirt!

  1. I need a pic of this sheer shirt you're talking about. I can't envision it!
